Julie is a highly regarded family and equine law practitioner and has been a Family mediator since 2006. She added to her portfolio when she became a Civil Mediator through the London School of Mediation in 2013.

It is Julie’s strongly held view that Mediation is a service that should be open to the widest range of those engaged in a dispute..

Julie is experienced in all aspects of Family mediations, from the modest issues to the larger and more complex ones.

In respect of Civil Mediations her particular expertise is in the area of all equine and animal related disputes. Her knowledge of equestrian matters is extensive and has impressed parties in these mediations. Her expertise makes her an obvious choice for those considering Mediation in the areas surrounding family, equine and farming problems.

Julie is a lifelong horsewoman and has a strong understanding of rural issues. She has extensive knowledge of the equestrian world, both domestic and sporting, familial and professional, and has had frequent exposure to the life and practice of the veterinary and farming world. In a recent mediation surrounding a horse worth £50,000 it was observed, “She had to work really hard, I know and stayed beyond booked time to reach and finalise a settlement, it was much appreciated”

“I want to say how brilliant Julie was as a mediator”

“Her general approach to this case, her particular knowledge of horses was second to none.”

Julie’s experience concerning welfare decisions has led her to undertake Deprivation of Liberty cases both in the Family Court and the Court of Protection, enabling her to bring her experience into the Court of Protection.
