Police officer prosecuted by Sarah Jones KC receives sentence of 16 and a half years’ imprisonment

PC Ravi Canhye was convicted following a trial at Winchester Crown Court for offences of rape and sexual assault. The attacks took place over the course of a weekend in April 2022.
Sarah Jones KC told the jury PC Canhye “span out of control” after drinking heavily which “changed or disinhibited” him and he behaved like an “animal”.
