James Newton-Price QC and Andrew Houston successfully prosecuted a male couple who abused vulnerable young boys at their home in Southampton from 2000 to 2005.

The leading defendant received an extended sentence of 23 years for rape and multiple sexual offences, following his conviction after a trial lasting four weeks. He was investigated by the National Crime Agency (NCA) after he referred to his experience of sexually abusing boys in an online chat room. The NCA discovered a video of the couple abusing a young teenage boy.

The second defendant was imprisoned for 7 years for his role in the offending. The evidence in the trial revealed a harrowing history of prolonged sexual abuse and the profound psychological damage that was inflicted on both boys.
