Christopher Pix is a criminal law specialist, instructed in a full range of serious criminal cases.
He accepts instructions for both prosecution and defence work, with an emphasis on serious physical and sexual offences, as well as drug offences. He is regularly instructed to prosecute multi handed cases and the most serious driving offences, including those resulting in fatalities.
As junior alone, his instructions include attempt murder, kidnap and armed robberies, as well as terrorism and high profile cases. He is also a led junior on a regular basis, instructed in murder, attempt murder and firearms trials.
Christopher’s wealth of experience far exceeds his year of call and includes analysis of call data material, cell site evidence and the disclosure of material in highly complex and frequently multi-handed cases.
Christopher is ranked as a Rising Star for Crime (General and Fraud) in the Legal 500 2026.

HOMICIDE
R v Varybrus (Brighton Crown Court) – murder. Trial of a youth accused of stabbing to death a teenager. This case involved large amounts of pathologist and forensic evidence. Instructed by Mimi Baines of Cowans Solicitors. Led by Sarah Jones KC
R v Miah & Ors (Winchester Crown Court) – murder. Trial of multiple men accused of beating to death a drug dealer. This case involved the analysis of disclosure requests on an industrial level. Instructed by the CPS. Led by Michael Burrows KC
R v R (Winchester Crown Court) – murder. Trial of a man accused of murdering a vulnerable drug user. Forensic evidence revealed significant evidence of torture using a knife. Instructed by the CPS. Led by James Newton-Price KC
R v Greer (Bournemouth Crown Court) – attempted murder. The defendant was convicted of using extreme force on a fellow drug addict. This case involved highly contested psychiatric and neurological evidence from multiple expert witnesses. Instructed by CPS Wessex. Led by Rebecca Fairbairn.
R v Elliss (Portsmouth Crown Court) – attempted murder. The defendant was accused of attempting to murder his wife of many years, following a significant breakdown. This case involved psychiatric evidence. Instructed alone.
R v Yewman (Portsmouth Crown Court) – attempted murder. The client was an extremely disturbed man who attempted to kill his partner. Instructed alone
DRIVING OFFENCES RESULTING IN FATALITY
R v Connors & Ors (Bournemouth Crown Court) – death by dangerous driving. Instructed alone to prosecute three men accused of racing at dangerously high speeds, crashing into a car and instantly killing one of the occupants.
R v Morris (Salisbury Crown Court) – death by careless driving. Instructed alone to prosecute an elderly man who failed to see a cyclist late at night on a quiet country lane.
R v Zahid (Wood Green Crown Court) – death by dangerous driving. Instructed alone to defend in a case that involved fitness to plead issues. The defendant was speeding and on drugs when he collided and killed the victim.
VIOLENT CRIME
R v Harris (Southampton Crown Court) – s18 GBH. Instructed alone to prosecute a man accused of punching the complainant in Southampton. The complainant suffered life-changing and significant brain damage.
R v A and L (Portsmouth Crown Court) – s18 GBH. Instructed alone. One of the defendants, both of whom were youths, used a zombie knife to stab another youth in his arm, resulting in life-changing injuries.
R v Newby (Portsmouth Crown Court) – s18 GBH. Instructed alone to prosecute a defendant charged with assaulting the complainant with a smashed glass bottle.
R v Ready (Portsmouth Crown Court) – causing serious injury by dangerous driving. The defendant drove her car at her former partner, causing him very serious leg and back injuries.
R v Shergold (Portsmouth Crown Court) – s18 GBH. The defendant had attacked the complainant beating him unconscious. The motive was suspected to be drugs.
R v Searle (Swindon Crown Court) – physical and sexual assaults. Instructed to defend in a trial with both sexual and physical allegations against a partner.
R v B and A (Bournemouth Crown Court) – Attempt s18. Instructed alone to prosecute two youths who assaulted the complainant on multiple occasions during an evening out. The assaults culminated in the complainant being knocked out and the defendants recording them dancing around his unconscious body.
R v Long (Bournemouth Crown Court) – armed burglary, defending alone. Client was the driver in a drug burglary with the use of firearms.
TERRORISM
R v X (Bristol Crown Court). Instructed alone to prosecute in a terrorism case.
SERIOUS SEXUAL OFFENCES
R v H (Porstmouth Crown Court). Instructed alone to prosecute the defendant, said to have raped two women on different occasions. Both women alleged that they had woken up with him having sex with them.
R v Cozens (Winchester Crown Court). Prosecuted alone a man accused of raping a friend.
R v Mortland and Lewis (Portsmouth Crown Court). Instructed alone, securing convictions against the mother and stepfather of a very disabled young women, unable to consent to multiple counts of vaginal, anal and oral sex.
R v Hall (Winchester Crown Court) Instructed alone, Christopher secured convictions against a man accused of raping his young stepson on multiple occasions.
R v Bond (Southampton Crown Court). Instructed to defend in a trial where the accused was said to have repeatedly raped two young children over a period of years.
R v Lacey-Pring (Bournemouth Crown Court). Instructed to defend in a trial where the accused was said to have kidnapped and then raped his partner on multiple occasions over a 48 hour period.
R v Booker and Steward (Winchester Crown Court). Instructed alone to prosecute in a multi handed historic rape trial.
R v Hobbs (Bournemouth Crown Court). Junior alone, successfully defended in a rape trial.
DRUG OFFENCES
Operation Virtuous (Winchester Crown Court) Multi handed conspiracy to supply Class A drugs. A notorious Organised Crime Group, involved in the supply of tonnes of cocaine valued at over £100 million. Led by Richard Onslow.
Operation Plaudit (Portsmouth Crown Court). Multi handed conspiracy to supply Class A drugs throughout much of the south of England. Instructed alone
R v Struga (Portsmouth Crown Court). Instructed alone to defend in a conspiracy to supply Class A drugs.
R v Alimani (Winchester Crown Court). Instructed to prosecute defendant accused of supplying cocaine.
R v Gjinaj (Bournemouth Crown Court). Instructed to prosecute defendant accused of supplying cocaine.
R v Al-Ahmed (Bournemouth Crown Court). Defendant in a conspiracy to supply Class A drugs.
ANIMAL CRUELTY
R v Higginson (Bournemouth). Instructed alone to defend a young man accused of killing two cats and seriously maiming a third.
Christopher’s practice covers the full range of motoring law offences, from causing death by dangerous driving to lower level offences, including advancing special reasons and exceptional hardship arguments. Examples include:
Christopher accepts instructions in a wide range of offences within the jurisdiction of the Court Martial, including drug conspiracies, GBH offences (both s18 and s20), and serious sexual offences. Having at one stage considered a career as an army chaplain, he has the ability to understand serving personnel.
Christopher successfully mitigated in a complex health and safety breach. The resulting fine was at the lowest possible level.

Christopher is regularly instructed in multi-day final hearings before the NMC, and is well placed to represent and advise individual registrants. He also accepts direct access instructions for Ecclesiastical Law and Sports Law tribunals.
Christopher Pix has been instructed in a wide range of sports law cases. He has represented and advised coaches and athletes in a whole range of different disciplines including boxing, swimming, water polo, rowing, F1 and athletics.
Many of his clients have included international athletes and coaches.
His specialities include disciplinary issues, safeguarding concerns and team selection.

Christopher is married with two daughters. He and his family enjoy walking their Springer Spaniels in the beautiful countryside around Salisbury. Christopher loves watching (and occasionally playing) most sports. He enjoys country pursuits, cooking and reading. He was a chorister at York Minster and a music scholar at St Edward’s Oxford.
