Jolene Hutchison, Head of Family & Partner, IBB Law
Jolene has more than 17 years’ experience as a family solicitor and is ranked as a leader in her field in Chambers and a recommended lawyer in the Legal 500 for the current year. Jolene’s expertise covers a wide range of family law matters with particular emphasis on complex financial cases arising on divorce for high-net worth clients.
Edward Boydell
Edwardis highly experienced in all aspects of family law but particularly financial remedies (including civil partnerships). He has specific expertise in dealing with complex high net worth matters involving family businesses, farms, companies and trusts. He is also very experienced in equitable co-ownership and cases under TOLATA. Edward is available to conduct Private FDRs. He is one of relatively few Recorders to be ticketed to hear Family Finance appeals and has over 14 years experience of sitting in the family courts. He has been appointed as a judge of the Financial Remedies Court.
Stuart McGhee
Called to the Bar in 2000 Stuart specialises in the financial aspects of family law. He is frequently instructed by specialist divorce solicitors and divorcing direct access clients to represent and advise regarding financial disputes following the breakdown of marriage / civil partnerships and cohabitation, as well as by separating couples involved in disputes concerning children.
Tara Lyons
Tara is a highly regarded barrister specialising in financial remedies cases, children law and contentious probate and inheritance disputes. She has significant experience for her call in matrimonial finance and cases concerning financial provision for children under Schedule 1 of the Children Act 1989 both at first instance and on appeal. Tara is also an experienced mediator and accepts instructions to act as a judge in private FDRs (whether remotely or in person). She is also the co-host and co-founder of ’The Family Law Podcast’.
Amelia Sugden
Amelia Sugden is a specialist family law advocate. Her practice encompasses private law children act matters, domestic violence, with a focus on complex financial remedies claims. During her Tenancy at 1 Hare Court she represented high net worth individuals, both international and domestic.
Mark Ablett
Mark Ablett has a specialist practice in family law, appearing at all levels of the Family Court and High Court having completed pupillage in October 2017. His background as the senior paralegal at a leading family law solicitors firm lends an experience of working on big money divorce cases.
He is frequently instructed on family finance cases with a complex element, often involving asset-protection structures, as well as private law children cases. He also handles Family Law Act injunctions and TOLATA claims. Mark is the co-host and co-founder of ’The Family Law Podcast’.
