After 6 years of a mixed family and crime practice, Neelo has, since 2008, been exclusively a family practitioner attaining a particular expertise in all aspects of Children Act cases. This expertise includes cases involving domestic violence, allegations of sexual abuse, implacable hostility, rule 16.4 guardians or an international element. Neelo has also represented parents, local authorities and the children in public law children cases. In both public and private children cases he has been involved in matters involving serious mental health issues and the Official Solicitor.
Neelo is also experienced in a broad range of family finance matters, including those involving medium to high value assets and army or police pensions. He has acted for parties in Family Law Act 1996 injunctive proceedings throughout his career. As a corollary to his family practice, Neelo also has experience in TOLATA matters.
Neelo remains resolutely committed to publically funded work and considers it a crucial aspect of his practice.
