We are delighted to welcome Alexander Courtnage as a probationary tenant. Alexander is building a practice covering Regulatory & Professional Discipline, Administrative & Public Law, and Public Inquiries & Inquests and welcomes instructions requiring both advisory work and advocacy.
Alexander also accepts instructions in Breach of Contract, Claims under the Consumer Credit Act 1974/PPI, Credit Hire, Debt recovery, Personal and Corporate Insolvency, Property and Personal Injury. He appears in small claim and fast track trials, as well as interlocutory applications, CMCs, possession hearings, orders for sale hearings, ASBO injunctions, winding up petitions, bankruptcy petitions, and applications to set-aside statutory demands. Alexander is also a member of the Government Legal Department’s Junior Junior Scheme.
Prior to joining Pump Court Chambers, Alexander had a career in the Civil Service, where his roles focused predominantly on national security policy and strategy development. He also worked for several years as a Professional Assistant to Geoffrey Robertson KC, during which he assisted on cases concerning international human rights.
