Maria Henty, before Her Honour Judge Vincent sitting at Reading, was recently successful in representing a father in resisting an application made by a mother for a specific issue order to allow a child to attend an independent secondary school.
The parents could not agree upon schooling for the child once he completes his primary education. The father was of the view that the child would benefit from moving schools with his friends. The mother was of the view that the child would thrive at a smaller fee paying school.
The full judgment can be found here.
