At Pump Court we're aware that anyone can be a victim of domestic abuse, regardless of gender, age, ethnicity, socio-economic status, sexuality or background.
We know that the ‘stay at home’ restrictions aimed to stop the spread of Covid-19 made abuse in homes more frequent and more dangerous. Home isolation, although important in managing the threat of coronavirus, gave more power to the abuser and shattered support networks.
Our members are dedicated to offering services to those suffering and those at risk. Our members want to use their experience and skills to practically help. We are here to support clients during these difficult times.
The team, led by Penny Howe KC, work hard to support clients both from a legal and emotional perspective. We are able to provide experienced empathetic advice – and representation for Court hearings nationwide and at short notice. Our members are fully enabled to conduct remote hearings by telephone or video.

We also work closely with domestic abuse charities and local authorities to achieve the best outcomes for our clients.
