Pump Court Chambers

Working in partnership with the senior clerk and various team heads, we are seeking an experienced marketing manager to plan, implement and manage the marketing and business development activities of the set as a whole, its members and its core specialist practice teams.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Campaign Management – Coordinating, implementing, and reporting on individual teams and Chambers’ overall strategic business plan
  • Management of all Chambers’ website, social media and hosting accounts (ensuring all website content is up-to-date and fully optimised for search engines)
  • Event management including: working with external agencies, sourcing venues, pre-and post-event briefing, collating event resources, cost analysis and attendance at events (including seminars, webinars, parties, dinners and corporate hospitality)
  • Communications – Producing collateral and leading on internal and external communications including news items and newsletters, press releases, adverts, directory, and award submissions; whilst ensuring brand integrity
  • Developing and maintaining the CRM database – ensuring the database is accurate, up-to-date and compliant with the relevant legislation
  • Coordinating the legal directory submissions and award submission in consultation with members and senior clerks
  • Managing the marketing budget and making recommendations on expenditure including reporting to Senior Clerk and Chambers Administrator on an annual basis, forecasting expenditure in preparation for the forthcoming financial year
  • Coordinating the production of branded merchandise and materials
  • Introduce innovative ways to enhance content and drive increased traffic to the website to maintain and increase brand awareness
  • Liaise with the clerking team and other departments on marketing initiatives as required
  • Leading projects through external agencies
  • Reporting, quarterly, to the senior clerk about the marketing and business development activities of Chambers and providing an overview of its main competitor activities
  • General ad hoc administrative duties: Assisting the clerking team, arranging, and recording minutes for meetings and invoicing for events

Requirements

  • Minimum of 8 years of marketing experience in a similar environment/position
  • Experience using content management systems
  • Excellent IT literacy with proficient experience in content management systems and Microsoft Office
  • Able to demonstrate significant budgetary responsibility and management
  • Experience in brand management and awareness
  • Experience and understanding of the legal sector
  • Experience in Google Analytics
  • Knowledge of Bar Squared LEX diary management and marketing campaigns

 

Desirable

  • Experience with legal directory submissions
  • Knowledge of graphic design software: Adobe InDesign/Illustrator, etc
  • Experience managing client social media accounts via Hootsuite
