Many thanks to everyone who attended our recent webinar, “Insolvency and financial remedies on divorce” by Helen Brander & Oliver Foy. We hope you found the talk useful and informative.
Helen Brander and Oliver Foy hosted a webinar on property rights in the family home and insolvency, exploring the intersection of bankruptcy and matrimonial finance. The discussion covered the role of trustees in bankruptcy proceedings, including their powers to review transactions and distribute estate assets, and how bankruptcy proceedings can affect family property arrangements and financial remedy orders. The webinar then addressed the rights and actions available to non-bankrupt spouses, including the ability to annul bankruptcy orders in cases of fraudulent use and the enforceability of financial orders from family proceedings.
If you would like to review the webinar again, you can find the slides here (please email Chelsey Stuart if you would like to reuse the slides for your own purposes).
