Last week was a busy week for Pump Court members conducting appellant advocacy in the Court of Appeal, with Matthew Scott appearing in an application for leave to appeal a rape conviction, Ellie Fargin appearing in an appeal against conviction on a novel point of law reserved to the Lady Chief Justice, as well as Edmund Wylde on an appeal against conviction in a RASSO case, and Tom Wright on an appeal against sentence in a historic case where the Appellant was a youth at the time of the offending.
