The Rugby Super League player was represented by Fergus McCombie in an Anti-Doping Tribunal held in December 2024.
The athlete was alleged to have committed an Anti-Doping Rule Violation (‘ADRV’), in that they had used a Prohibited Substance, namely ibutarmoren, which is prohibited as a Growth Hormone.
The tribunal was satisfied that the ADRVs had not been ‘intentional’ and that the athlete had acted with No Significant Fault or Negligence. The athlete was suspended for sixteen months, being the top end of the range for a light degree of fault.
