Ed Wylde, instructed by Gammon Piercy & Gaiger, represented a man who was alleged to have digitally penetrated a woman whilst she was asleep in the spare bedroom of the house he shared with his then-partner (a different woman). Following careful cross-examination of the complainant, and the defendant’s then-partner, Ed made a submission of No Case to Answer after the conclusion of the Crown’s case. The Judge agreed with that submission, and the jury were directed to enter a Not Guilty verdict. The defendant retains his good character.
