Pump Court Chambers is pleased to invite you to a multidisciplinary seminar addressing directors’ duties. This seminar will be presented by the business and commercial team in partnership with the regulatory team. It will include the following:
- An introduction of the fundamental duties owed by directors to their companies and the importance of treating their company as a separate and independent entity (slides).
- An exploration of the various ways of enforcing director’s duties in the civil courts, setting out who may take action, the appropriate procedure for such and the remedies available (slides).
- A presentation dealing with director disqualification which shall address the main ways in which directors can be disqualified as well as what disqualification will mean for a director (slides).
- An explanation of the criminal consequences of breaching directors’ duties or acting as a director whilst disqualified (slides).
The seminar is intended to be of appeal to those who would like an introduction to this area of law as well as more experienced practitioners in this field who are either seeking a reminder and update or are perhaps intrigued by the multidisciplinary aspects.
Registration and lunch will take place from 1pm, plus there will be opportunities for networking over drinks after the seminar.
