Oliver Foy joined Chambers in September 2020 following the successful completion of pupillage. He is building a broad common law practice covering all areas of Chambers’ work.
Ollie has particular experience in employment law having undertaken a seat in this area during pupillage. Ollie has therefore been exposed to the full spectrum of employment work and is building on his knowledge gained as a pupil. He has a budding paperwork practice and has prepared numerous advices, ET1s and ET3s.
Ollie accepts instructions across the full range of family work. He is regularly instructed in family finance and private law children matters. He has a specific interest in family finance, an area in which he has a growing practice.
Ollie’s crime practice consists mainly of criminal defence work, with a focus on motoring offences. He is frequently instructed in the Magistrates’ Court and for appeals in the Crown Court. Ollie is also a Level 1 CPS Panel Advocate.
Prior to commencing pupillage, Ollie worked on a compliance project at Berwin Leighton Paisner during their merger with Bryan Cave and then as a County Court Advocate. He therefore has experience in civil matters and has acted in a wide range of disputes including small claims, stage 3 hearings, landlord and tenant, bankruptcy and interim applications.
