Call: 2009
Nicholas Williamson experience lies in all aspects of family legal issues. He handles private and public law Children Act matters and litigation between unmarried couples.
His Children Act practice includes disputes about residence, contact and removal of children from the jurisdiction. He also regularly represents parents in care proceedings. Nick appears regularly in front of Circuit and District Judges in the Principal Registry and in a wide number of County Courts as well as representing clients in the Family Proceedings Court.
Before Nick was called to the Bar, he worked for 12 years as a solicitor. Most of this time was spent in a specialist family firm where he was head of the family department and a partner. He is therefore entirely familiar with the practice and issues involved in all aspects of running a family case, as well as conducting the advocacy in court. He is well placed to work with solicitors and has a level of expertise that goes well beyond his date of call.
