Hannah Tickle is a Common Law Pupil in her practising Second Six. She accepts instructions in Family, Crime, and Civil and is pursuing a practice in the following areas:

  • Family: Financial Remedies (including Schedule 1), Private Children Law, Public Children Law, Trusts of Land and Appointment of Trustees Act 1996, and Family Law Act applications.
  • Criminal: Magistrates’ Court, Courts Martial and Crown Court work. Hannah is currently building her portfolio of Magistrates’ Court work and is looking to develop a Crown Court practice. She is a CPS Grade 1 Prosecutor for general crime and is enthusiastic to work in both Prosecution and Defence. Hannah is also keen to establish a regulatory practice, and has had experience of the Employment Tribunal in her First Six.
  • Civil: Breach of Contract, Claims under the Consumer Credit Act 1974/PPI, Credit Hire, Debt recovery, Personal and Corporate Insolvency, Property and Personal Injury. Hannah appears in small claim and fast track trials, as well as interlocutory applications, CMCs, possession hearings, orders for sale hearings, winding up petitions, bankruptcy petitions and applications to set-aside statutory demands.

Hannah has a keen interest in people-focused law and happily accepts legal aid work in both the Criminal and Family jurisdictions.

Prior to pupillage, Hannah first worked in Academia, securing a full scholarship and graduate stipend to undertake her Master’s Degree whilst researching and teaching in the United States. Hannah was also awarded the Anglo-American Exchange Scholarship from Middle Temple, which allowed her to complete a legal internship in the United States.

During her time at BPP Law School, Hannah was awarded the BPP Outstanding Contribution Pro Bono Recognition Award for her work as Student Director of the BPP Legal Advice Clinic. Following on from the BTC, Hannah was the Project Coordinator for a charity project where she worked closely with traumatized individuals and managed a large volunteer team.

Since starting pupillage, Hannah has completed seats in Crime, Family, and Civil under the supervision of Richard Tutt, Samara Brackley, and Simon Lane respectively.
