Christopher Pix is a criminal law specialist who is instructed in a full range of criminal cases, both alone and as a led junior. He undertakes both defence and prosecution work.
He has been led as disclosure junior in murder trials by Michael Burrows KC and Charles Thomas, and by James Newton-Price KC and Tom Evans. Christopher has also been led in a multi-handed drugs trial for the defence (by Richard Onslow), and in the prosecution of a firearms offence (by Tim Bradbury).
On his own he has also successfully defended in a wide range of cases including armed robbery, s18, s20 and ABH assault cases, as well as burglary, robbery, drug offences, including successfully running a modern slavery defence.
His work spans a wide range of criminal offences, recent examples include kidnapping, blackmail, drug offences, sexual assault (including of children), indecent exposure, assault (including s18 and s20 offences), assaults against emergency workers, burglary (both dwelling and non-dwelling), public order offences, bladed article offences, offences under the Dangerous Dogs Act and the Firearms Act.
Christopher is frequently instructed in Youth Court proceedings and in appeals to the Crown Court. He is currently instructed in appeals to the Court of Appeal.
He has been instructed in Courts Martial cases involving both criminal allegations (including s18 and s20 GBH, sexual assault) and service offences (Desertion, AWOL, fighting and disgraceful conduct).
He is also instructed on maritime issues and health and safety matters, as well as POCA hearings.
Christopher is able to accept direct access work and has a particular interest in ecclesiastical law.
Christopher had experience in the County and Family Courts before establishing a practice at the Criminal Bar. While a second six pupil, Christopher prosecuted lists on a near daily basis in the Magistrates’ Court.
Prior to being called to the Bar, Christopher enjoyed a successful career in the charity sector. This involved visiting prisoners in the UK and those facing execution in Luzira, Uganda as well as assisting in an immigration centre, working with the British Army in Paderborn, Germany and at Eton College.

Christopher’s practice covers the full range of motoring law offences, from dangerous driving to lower level offences, including advancing special reasons and exceptional hardship arguments. Examples include:
Christopher accepts instructions in military disciplinary proceedings. Having at one stage considered a career as an army chaplain, he has the ability to understand serving personnel.
Christopher successfully mitigated in a complex health and safety breach. The resulting fine was at the lowest possible level.
