Alyzeh Alam

Alyzeh Alam is a common law pupil accepting instructions across family, civil, and criminal law.

In family law, Alyzeh has experience assisting in financial remedy proceedings and children law hearings. She is familiar with the preparation and progression of private family law matters and is comfortable working on cases that require a careful, practical, and client-focused approach.

Her civil practice includes employment law, with experience in matters involving unfair and unlawful dismissal and discrimination, alongside broader civil litigation.

During her criminal pupillage, Alyzeh assisted on a range of cases in a preparatory and analytical capacity. Cases she worked on included those involving sexual offences, possession and supply of drugs, theft and domestic violence. She also had the opportunity to gain experience working in military courts.

Prior to commencing pupillage, Alyzeh worked for two years as a county court advocate. There, she regularly appeared in civil hearings and developed strong advocacy skills, a strong courtroom demeanour, and an effective rapport with judges, solicitors, and lay clients. Alyzeh also worked as an Advocacy Developer Manager, honing her leadership skills and training junior advocates.

Alyzeh is proficient in Urdu, and owing to the similarities in the languages can speak Hindi as well.
