Albert Gibbon has featured in the latest edition of Resolution’s The Review.
In the article, “Understanding the Pathfinder Pilot Scheme” by Felicia Munde of Stewarts Law, Albert comments: “The most significant difference between Children Act proceedings progressing under the traditional CAP and those under the new Pathfinder pilot scheme is the emphasis on Cafcass or the local authority’s early engagement directly with the parties. Under the CAP, parties engage with Cafcass in a short safeguarding interview before not needing to engage again with a Family Court Adviser until an interview during section 7 enquiries. If there is a fact-finding hearing under the CAP, this might be many months and hearings further down the line. The CIR puts party engagement front and centre, and early advice on this is imperative.”
