Edward Armitage awarded a scholarship for South Eastern Circuit Advocacy Course in Florida

Edward Armitage was awarded a scholarship by the South Eastern circuit to attend the South Eastern Circuit – University of Florida Criminal Law Advocacy Course held in Gainesville, FL.

After a round of interviews Edward was one of four junior barristers, selected by Maria Karaiskos KC and Benjamin Aina KC of Church Court Chambers, to attend the week long course which covered a range of topics including opening and closing speeches as well as direct and cross examination of expert and lay witnesses.

The week culminated with the UK delegates organising and hosting the ‘Great British Barristers’ Quiz Night’ for all attendees of the course.

Edward was also the recipient of the Sir Joseph Priestly Scholarship 2025 by Inner Temple which provided additional funding to attend the course.
