Jennifer Lee to speak on two panels at the 9th LAWASIA Family Law & Children’s Rights Conference

We are delighted to announce that Jennifer Lee has been invited to participate in two panel sessions at the 9^th LAWASIA Family Law & Children’s Rights Conference, between 12-14 June 2025 in Penang, Malaysia.

Jennifer will be delivering a joint presentation with Sarah Williams (Partner, Payne Hicks Beach) as part of the Modern Families and Surrogacy session. Chaired by Mr Justin Dowd AM (Consultant, Watts Mccray), the panel will explore the ethical considerations surrounding surrogacy contracts, and whether the rights of the child have taken a secondary role in surrogacy and ART.

Jennifer will also be speaking at the session on Trusts & Divorce Law, alongside Shu Mei Hoon (Director, Drew & Napier), Hannah Mantle (Partner, Forsters), Jonathan Mok (Partner, Karas So LLP) and Hui Yee Kee (Partner, Kanesalingam & Co.). Chaired by Keiko Imazato (Attorney, Mugita Law Office), the session will explore the complex interaction between trusts and divorce laws, and its implications on the distribution of marital assets upon divorce and the preservation/management of family wealth.
