We are very pleased to announce that Naomi Gyane has been appointed to the role of Legally Qualified Chair in the Medical Practitioners Tribunal Service (MPTS). The MPTS run hearings for doctors, physician associates (PA) and anaesthesia associates (AA) whose fitness to practise is called into question. The legally qualified chair and other members make decisions together as a tribunal. The legally qualified chair provides the tribunal with legal advice as necessary.

Naomi’s experience in the areas of employment and crime, coupled with her knowledge of procedures in relation to a wide range of regulatory bodies, means she is well-placed to represent and advise individuals and organisations in relation to regulatory and disciplinary proceedings.
