Domestic Abuse Act 2021 (DAA 2021) – Post implementation of Domestic Abuse Protection Notices and Domestic Abuse Protection Orders Pilot (DAA 2021, ss 22-56)

In this LexisNexis University webinar, Rebekah Batt discusses the relevant provisions of the Domestic Abuse Act 2021 relating to Domestic Abuse Protection Notices and Domestic Abuse Protection Orders which are currently being piloted in Manchester and the London Boroughs of Bromley, Croydon and Sutton. Following the pilot, and an evaluation process, it is hoped that there will be a national roll out of these orders which will prompt a significant change to the protective orders available to victims of domestic abuse in family, criminal and civil proceedings. The intention is for these notices/ orders to eventually become the ‘go-to’ protective measures for victims of domestic abuse, therefore knowledge of the relevant provisions is essential for any practitioner dealing with cases involving domestic abuse.
