Siân Beaven successfully responds to High Court Extradition Appeal

Krzysztof Lukasik v Circuit Court, Praga in Warsaw (a Polish Judicial Authority) [2025] EWHC 282 (Admin).
Siân Beaven acted for the Respondent Judicial Authority in an Article 8 appeal involving a psychological report on a child concerning the impact of extradition on the Appellant’s young son. The appeal was dismissed. This case reinforces the high threshold for Article 8 challenges in extradition proceedings with particular emphasis on the public interest in honouring international legal obligations.
