Christopher Pix successfully prosecuted Dannie O’Leary accused of causing death by dangerous driving, almost exactly a year ago. After two days of the prosecution case, the defendant pleaded guilty to killing George Greaves and to causing serious injuries to two others in the same car. Dannie O’Leary accepted that he was racing his Mercedes car at dangerously high speeds on the A338 near Bournemouth. At the time, he was driving whilst disqualified and using cloned number plates. On the same day that he entered his guilty pleas, he was sentenced to a custodial sentence of 14 years and 4 months.
