Rebecca Fairbairn successfully defends man charged with attempted murder

Rebecca Fairbairn represented a man accused of attempting to murder his girlfriend, attempting to cause her grievous bodily harm with intent, and of strangulation. Rebecca was instructed as defence advocate at short notice prior to the trial beginning, and the case received coverage across national news outlets (https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cxrrdwk11x9o).  In the course of the prosecution case, and after Rebecca’s cross examination of the Complainant, the Crown withdrew the count of attempting to cause grievous bodily harm with intent. At the conclusion of the case, Rebecca’s client was found Not Guilty of all outstanding counts by the jury.
