Casey Chard secures a Community Order for a man charged with possession of two knives in a public place

Casey Chard represented a man who was due to be sentenced for two offences of possessing a combat-style knife in a public place. After extensive mitigation, Casey persuaded the Court to depart from the 6-month custody starting point, as prescribed by the Sentencing Council Guidelines, and impose an 18-month Community Order.
