Pump Court Chambers is delighted to announce that Nazmeen Imambaccus has joined chambers as a tenant, effective Monday 13th November 2023.
Nazmeen has a unique background, having gained a number of years’ experience practising in an oversea common law jurisdiction. Her practice focused on Civil and Commercial matters, which included being junior counsel on a high profile commercial matter appearing for a well-known life assurance provider. At the English Bar, her practice has broadened to Regulatory and Public Inquiries. Nazmeen’s practice in Regulatory and Public Inquiries has led to her carrying out a secondment with the Nursing and Midwifery Council. She has appeared as a case presenter in many substantive hearings, including those brought against managers of care home and high-profile midwifery cases involving a death of a baby. Nazmeen was also part of the Infected Blood Inquiry and is also a Second Junior on the Undercover Police Inquiry.
Nazmeen will continue to practice in Inquests and Inquiries and Regulatory and Disciplinary law, further strengthening chambers’ expertise and depth within these core areas. For further information about Nazmeen’s practice, or to instruct her, please contact Jon Cue, Senior Civil Clerk on 020 7353 0711 or via email: clerks@pumpcourtchambers.com.
Chambers continues to invite applications from practitioners of all levels of call to join our busy and growing civil team. If you would like further information about joining the civil team, or to make an application, please contact Tony Atkins, Senior Clerk
