Annual Court of Protection Seminar

Pump Court Chambers’ Court of Protection Team are pleased to announce that we will be holding our annual Court of Protection Conference in London on Thursday 14th September 2023, at The Law Society.

We are delighted that our keynote speaker this year will be The Hon. Mr Justice Poole, who will be speaking on “Transparency in the Court of Protection”. The Hon Mr Justice Poole was called to the Bar, Middle Temple, in 1989, and took Silk in 2012. He was appointed as a Recorder in 2009, as a Deputy High Court Judge in 2017 and a High Court Judge (Family Division) in 2020. He is the Family Division Liaison Judge for the North Eastern Circuit.

We will also be joined by guest speaker Dr Chris Danbury, Consultant in Intensive Care Medicine at University Hospital Southampton and Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer at the University of Southampton. He is a medical expert in the CoP (including the Supreme Court) and the only doctor on the CoP Mediation pilot project.

The conference will also include insightful seminars from our team of experienced CoP practitioners, on a range of topical subjects, which will prove invaluable to practitioners in this area. The seminar will be followed by drinks and networking.
