Louisa Simpson commences third six pupillage

We are delighted to welcome Louisa Simpson who joins Pump Court Chambers as a third six pupil with immediate effect.

Louisa is commencing her Third Six in our Civil Team, having completed her pupillage training under Suzanne McKie QC at Farore Law.

Louisa specialised in employment law – specifically in cases involving discrimination, harassment, whistleblowing and equal pay. Louisa worked on both contentious and non-contentious cases, crossing both the High Court and Employment Tribunals (ETs). She has also worked on personal injury claims where this arises from the employment relationship, and continues to represent clients in the ET pro bono with the Free Representation Unit (FRU).

Prior to joining the independent bar, Louisa managed clinical negligence claims against the NHS, and prior to that represented a healthcare regulatory body in claims against registrants their tribunal. She has also worked as a County Court Advocate, representing clients in a range of civil matters, including interlocutory applications and small claims trials, stage three disposal hearings, infant settlements, housing, possession and credit hire matters.
