George is a regular speaker at many Conferences and Professional Training events, where he is applauded for imparting his knowledge in a clear (and sometimes amusing) way. At his lecture to the FLBA in 2016 he challenged lawyers, experts, and academics alike to come together to form a multi-disciplinary body to make more consistent the treatment of pensions in divorce. This was the start of the Pension Advisory Group (PAG).
Imogen Robins founded the Pump Court Breakfast Briefing with a view to helping solicitors network in a warm and friendly environment. The intention being that each Breakfast Briefing provides an opportunity for learning and development for both seasoned practitioners and those new to the Family Law jurisdiction. We have moved online but hope to be back in person once restrictions are lifted. Imogen specialises in complex private children cases, often requiring expert evidence and involving issues such as parental alienation, domestic abuse and psychological assessments. Her expertise includes leave to remove cases, with recent cases including Malawi and the USA. Imogen has many years of experience in financial remedies cases, acting for medium to high net worth individuals. She regularly writes and lectures on behalf of Chambers. You can read a recent article in the Family Law Journal, “The evolution of spousal maintenance – where are we now?” February 2020. She is happy to assist at any stage of the proceedings and pre-proceedings and is experienced in drafting pre-nups. She is ranked in the Legal 500 as a Leading Junior.
