Representing a parent accused of inflicting fractures of the femur and ribs in a 3 month old baby. Significant issues on bone fragility, Vitamin D, biochemistry and radiological identification and timing in the diagnosis of bone abnormalities in the newborn. Weight to be given to parental evidence claiming an accident of uncertain mechanism. Complete exoneration of the parent despite the firm consensus of leading medical experts of the day (Paediatrician, Endocrinologist, Paediatric radiologist) that the fractures were non-accidental.
