Mediation is an effective way of resolving disputes without the need to go to court. It involves using an independent third party - a mediator - who helps both sides to come to an agreement. Mediation is a flexible process that can be used to settle disputes and mediation can offer a far better route to resolution than litigation through the court process.

Pump Court Chambers has a panel of 11 mediators all of whom have substantial experience and have been ADR accredited mediators for in excess of 5 years. Our mediators have been selected for their ability to deal tactfully with those involved in these difficult disputes. They will use their mediation skills, and their knowledge and experience of such disputes to help the parties –

  • Identify the issues between them that need to be addressed
  • Understand and assess one another’s cases
  • Canvass ways forward
  • Formulate potential solutions
