Equestrian Law

Julie was educated in the West Country and has a lifelong passion for horses. She is an accomplished horsewoman. This has led her to develop a parallel expertise in Horse Law and regularly lectures on the subject.

Children Public Law

Julie acts for Local Authorities, Parents and Guardians in cases involving serious injuries to children, sexual abuse and fictitious illness.

Children Private Law

Julie has extensive experience of representing parents and grandparents in Contact and Residence disputes with particular emphasis on helping clients to reach an accommodation in the best interests of their children.

Family Finance

Julie acts in a range of cases whether they involve substantial sums or modest sums of money: she is known for using a sensible and realistic approach to enhance her negotiations.

Child Abduction

She is also an expert in Hague Convention /Child Abduction Cases.

Alternative Dispute Resolution

Julie Mackenzie qualified as a mediator with ADR in 2005 and undertakes Family mediations including both matrimonial finance and issues relating both to residence and contact.

Julie is also a specialist Equine Lawyer and is the author of Horse Law to be published in 2011. She undertakes mediations in any equine related matters

  • Julie enjoys time with her family, country pursuits, genealogy, travel and of course horse riding.
