Pump Court Chambers receives WATB Certificate of Recognition

Pump Court Chambers is delighted to announce its has been awarded a Certificate of Recognition by The Bar Council for our contribution to wellbeing at the Bar, following Saturday's Annual Bar Conference.

Rachel Spearing, co-founder and chair of the Bar Wellbeing Initiative,  spear headed the initiative, which aims to address and support the challenges facing the legal profession. Her research has been published globally and she was recently recognised for her contribution to the profession by being shortlisted for a European Leadership Award.

In summing up the Bar Council commented: “Pump Court have taken a considered approach to wellbeing, their story is a great example of building support, then sounding out members before taking incremental steps with policy, governance and investment in initiatives.  Of note, their decision to regularly communicate about their Employee Assistance Programme – EAP (available to all members) through their chambers’ business manager, clearly messaging wellbeing – and keeping well - as an important part of practice”.

We are all extremely proud of the work Ms Spearing and the rest of the team have put in, which is recognised with this award.
