Pump Court Chambers receives ISO 9001: 2008 Certification

News 21st April 2016

Pump Court Chambers is delighted to announce that we have gained the ISO 9001:2008 certification. An internationally recognised standard for Quality Management Systems (QMS), it is the most widely used QMS in the world, with over 1.1 million certificates issued in 178 countries. This standard is a rigorously controlled quality control system that requires us to meet our own standards as well as those of our customers and regulators.

What does this mean for you?

It has reaffirmed our commitment for continued improvement and helped us with the continued provision of a first class service. The system is based on the plan-do-check-act methodology, which helps organisations establish, implement, monitor and measure their processes to deliver results that align with the organisation’s requirements and continually improve performance by taking appropriate action.

Our staff and members have already embraced the quality system which has not only helped us secure the accreditation but also helped to identify service gaps which we have been able to improve along the way.

We are proud to have achieved such a prestigious accreditation and are now preparing to migrate to the revised accreditation, ISO 9001:2015, within the next 3 years, which follows a new, higher level structure with increased importance given to risk.

Yours Sincerely,

David Barber, Chief Clerk
