Timothy Crook is standing trial for the murder of his elderly parents in 2007 at Bristol Crown Court. The bodies of the couple were found hidden underneath wheelie bins, when a police officer carried out a welfare check at the Lincoln home of their son. Post mortem results revealed that Mr & Mrs Crook had “suffered repeated blows to their bodies and heads, some of which were delivered by a weapon, possibly a hammer”. The jury was told that Mr Crook then placed their bodies in the back of their car before driving them to a property he owned in Lincoln.

Mr Crook who was arrested at the time, was later deemed unfit to stand trial due to the state of his mental health. Crook who denies two counts of murder is represented by Nigel Pascoe QC & Sarah Jones of Pump Court Chambers.
