News 13th January 2015

A woman from Salford, Manchester has been acquitted of conspiring to sell controlled drugs following a long-running trial at Bolton Crown Court. The defendant, who was successfully represented by Colin Banham, was cleared of any wrong doing at the trial. She was alleged to have played a vital role in a conspiracy to sell £3.6m worth of controlled drugs through a number of websites purporting to sell ‘legal highs’. Paula White, a co-defendant and former director of Chester City FC, pleaded guilty to the conspiracy on the first day of the seven-handed trial. Four other defendants were found guilty by the jury.
